Police, residents clear 13 tonnes of rubbish from Yagamso river in Itanagar

ITANAGAR: A staggering 12.96 tonnes of rubbish had been faraway from Yagamso River throughout a cleanup drive right here on Saturday. The drive, organised by the Youth Mission for Clear River (YMCR) in collaboration with the Capital Police beneath their ‘Police Ajin’ initiative, a citizen-centric policing programme, noticed enthusiastic participation from the area people, together with members of the colony welfare committee, Itanagar Municipal Company (IMC) corporator of Ward 10, ward members, and a big group of ladies police personnel.
The cleanup drive, supported by the Itanagar Good Metropolis Improvement Company Restricted and Abralow Memorial Multipurpose Society (AMMS), mobilised over 200 volunteers, together with cops, YMCR volunteers, and colony residents, a press launch acknowledged.
Capital SP Rohit Rajbir Singh, who actively participated within the cleanup, stated the initiative was geared toward celebrating the New 12 months by demonstrating the Capital Police’s dedication to serving the group in numerous capacities. He counseled YMCR for its constant efforts in selling sustainable residing and organizing common river cleanups.

Loda urged the group to undertake sustainable practices saying, “We can’t remedy the waste disaster with out altering our behaviour. This cleanup is only one step.
