Erode District – E.F.I’s Collaboration in Conservation

Erode often called the “yellow metropolis” is stuffed with naturally various areas corresponding to hills, plains, rivers, forests and evergreen fields. Blessed with plentiful water. The three main rivers of Erode are the Cauvery, Bhavani and Noyyal rivers. The agricultural exercise within the district is effectively supported by the rivers Cauvery and Bhavani. 

Town of Erode has a thriving financial system with turmeric manufacturing, textile industries, specializing in handloom and knitwear. Sadly, textile dyeing, bleaching, and different manufacturing processes generate huge portions of poisonous effluents, which are sometimes dumped immediately into these rivers. The Noyyal River has develop into a darkish spot because of extreme industrial air pollution from textile models in Erode, Tirupur and Karur districts.

E.F.I., in collaboration with the Erode District Administration, has taken on a number of water our bodies and dealing in direction of their restoration and conservation.
