கானகம் என்றால் “காடு” என்ற பொருள் உண்டு. சென்னை அண்ணாநகரில் உள்ள 3.5 ஏக்கர் E.F.I சுற்றுச்சூழல் பூங்காவிற்கு கானகம் என்று பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. 

25 வகையான 825 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நாட்டு மரங்கள், விளையாட்டு ஆர்வத்தை தூண்டும் விதமாக கால்பந்து மைதானம் மற்றும் நடைபாதையுடன் கொண்ட கானகத்தை பற்றி கீழுள்ள பதிவின் மூலம் அறிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

The Kanagam Eco Park is located within the northwestern space of Chennai, throughout the city panorama of Anna Nagar. Masking an expanse of three.5 acres, the park is situated alongside the banks of the Cooum River, to the west of the Grand Northern Trunk Street.
