Cheetah Nirva has given delivery to 5 cubs on the Kuno Nationwide Park in Madhya Pradesh, stated Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday.
With the brand new litter, the variety of cheetahs and cubs will enhance to 29 on the Kuno park, situated within the State’s Sheopur district. Earlier this month, two cheetahs from the protected forest had been shifted to the Gandhi Sagar sanctuary.
The full variety of cheetahs, together with cubs, within the nation now stands at 31.

In a submit on X on Sunday night time, Mr. Yadav stated, “It’s a nice pleasure that the inhabitants of cheetahs on the Kuno Nationwide Park is consistently rising. Lately, 5-year-old Nirva has given delivery to five cubs. The arrival of those little cubs is an emblem of the success of the Cheetah Challenge and the wealthy biodiversity of India.” The Chief Minister stated the beneficial surroundings created for wildlife conservation below the steerage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was prospering.

On April 20, two South African cheetahs, Prabhash and Pavak, who had been translocated to Kuno greater than two years in the past, had been launched into the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary, which spans Neemuch and Mandsaur districts.

Eight Namibian cheetahs, 5 females and three males, had been launched into the Kuno Nationwide Park on September 17, 2022, marking the first-ever intercontinental translocation of those large cats.
Twelve extra cheetahs had been introduced from South Africa to Kuno in February 2023. Earlier than the delivery of those 5 cubs, the park was house to 24 cheetahs, together with 14 India-born cubs. Two of those large cats have now been relocated to the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.
